The Loggers (18-19) scored five runs in both the fifth and sixth innings while Nick Funyak (2-for-4, HR, 4 RBI) blasted his first home run of the season and drove in a team-high four runs.

Funyak's three-home run in the sixth inning scored Nathan Backes (1-for-2, R, RBI) and Nicholas Alarcio (2-for-3, 2 R, 2 RBI) to give the Loggers an 11-4 advantage. Alarcio hit an RBI single that scored Cal Muramaru (0-for-1, 2 R) earlier in the inning, and Backes drew a walk before Funyak's at-bat. Savage (2-for-4, 2 R), who reached base on a bunt single, scored the inning's second run on a sac fly by Chris Zerio (2-for-4, 2 R, 3 RBI).

Zerio's bases-loaded single highlighted the five-run fifth inning, as the bases cleared with the help of an error by the centerfielder.

Alex Siera's  (3-for-5, 2 RBI, 2B) RBI double capped off the scoring in the stanza. Alarcio's (3-for-6, 2 R, RBI) RBI single in the fourth preceded Backes' crushing blow.

Starting pitcher David Follett earned the win after allowing just one hit through five innings while striking out four.
