Alyssa Floyd joined the University of Puget Sound Athletic Department as the Athletic Communications Assistant in December of 2025. In her role, she helps manage the Logger social media accounts, updates the Logger Athletics website, assists with game-day operations, and runs live broadcasts and handles NCAA stat recording. She is the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, women's lacrosse, and softball.Â
Before working in sports, Alyssa played NCAA Division III women’s soccer at Gordon College, where she was part of the historic squad that won the first conference championship in program history and advanced to the NCAA Tournament to face Johns Hopkins. She graduated in April 2025 from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Broadcasting and Sports Media.Â
Alongside her work at Puget Sound, Alyssa works as a Matchday & Events Assistant for Seattle Sounders FC, Reign FC and the Tacoma Defiance, helping out with game-day operations and fan engagement. Her background also includes an internship with GCU Club Sports, where she helped with media coverage, photography and operations as well as ESPN+ as a part of their broadcast crew.Â
Originally from the greater Seattle area, Alyssa resides in Kitsap County with her two dogs, Nala and Theo.Â
