Two Loggers Earn CSC All-District Award

| By:
TACOMA, Wash. -- Two Loggers earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, impressing both on the court and in the classroom.

The CSC recognizes Scholar-Athletes who are sophomore standing or higher who carry a 3.5 GPA, and also play in 90% of games throughout the year. Six members of the women's volleyball team made the prestigious list, showing their versatility across the board.

Psychology major, Randi Rush, played in 26 matches, starting 25, and was the Loggers primary setter this year. She carried the team with 902 assists, averaging just over 10 assists/set. Rush also added 41 kills and 23 service aces to her total, helping the Loggers to becoming Co-Northwest Conference Champions.

Also a Psychology major, Akira Anderson made the CSC Academic All District Team alongside Rush. The senior from Port Ludlow, Wash. appeared in all 26 matches, starting 18, and recorded 272 digs on the back line for Puget Sound. Anderson tallied 29 service aces as well, finding her place in the Loggers elite back-line.

The Loggers finished their season 18-8, making it to the NWC Semifinals.
