SPOKANE, Washington (November 8th, 2024) - Head Coach Mark Massey's playoff-bound squad fell this evening to the Whitworth Pirates in three straight sets, something that rarely happens in conference play to the Loggers who are 12-3 in Northwest Conference play.

The first set was close, ending 22-25, and the second set even saw the red and white ahead by four points. However, the tides quickly turned and the Pirates took the lead, winning the second set by ten points.

The Pirates commanded the third set from the start, but the Loggers made a valiant effort - it was just too little, too late.

The Loggers next take on the Whitman Blues tomorrow, November 9th, at 6:00pm in Walla Walla, Washington. They'll likely return to the east side of the state next weekend for the beginning of playoff competition.
