TACOMA, Wash. – Megan Schellhase recorded a clean sheet, denying all three shots on goal, as the Loggers opened their Northwest Conference (NWC) campaign with a 2-0 win against the Whitman College Blues on Saturday afternoon.
Three Loggers connected for the first goal, Scott passing long to
Rylee MacLennan who made a quick touch to
Ava Cholakian finishing it off in the back of the net and scoring the game-winning goal. In the first half, the Loggers out-shot the Blues, tallying six shots compared to Whitman's two.
Going into the second half, Scott sealed the victory for the Loggers with another goal in the 57
th minute, assisted by
Sienna Kloss. While Whitman made some strong plays, they only managed one shot off.
The Loggers finished with eight shots on goal, half of which were from Scott.
The Loggers' next game will take place on Sunday, September 17
th at noon on East Field.
