TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound softball team heads to Oregon this weekend for a four-game series against Lewis & Clark, March 11-12. The games will be played at Rosemont Middle School.

Bland's exciting performance
Freshman pitcher
Sam Bland threw her first-career complete game against Willamette last week (March 4). The Puyallup native allowed only three earned runs on six hits in 7.0 innings.

Moore bombs
Emily Moore belted her first home run of the season against Willamette (March 5). It was the third-career home run for the sophomore. She has a team-high eight runs scored so far this season.

Moore hits
Jessica Moore enters the weekend as the Loggers' leading hitter with a .367 batting average (min. 20 AB). She has two three-hit games so far this season.

Junior
Hope Fleischman is poised to make a big leap in her junior season. She is already hitting .318 through her first eight games.

Scouting Lewis & Clark (6-6, 0-4 NWC)
The Pioneers and Loggers share a common opponent in Occidental, and both NWC teams went 2-0 against the Tigers. Lewis & Clark was recently swept by Linfield in four games (March 4-5). Riley Anderson has a team-high six home runs, and she leads the Pioneers in hitting with a .424 batting average. Lainey Honman has a team-high five steals. Charlize Pope has made just one start in eight appearances, but she has a 2.95 ERA through 19.0 IP.
