REDLANDS, California - Aidan Sullivan hit his first home run of the season - and the second of his career - but the Puget Sound baseball team's six-game winning streak was snapped at Redlands, 5-3, Sunday afternoon.
Â
The Loggers were in a 1-0 deficit after the first inning, but in the second inning
William Gross hit a two-out single to keep the inning alive for Sullivan. Puget Sound's right fielder launched a two-run shot to left-center field, giving the Loggers a one-run lead.
Â
Redlands reclaimed the lead, 3-2 in the bottom of the second. The Bulldogs added one more run in both the third and fifth innings.
Â
The Loggers tried to piece together a rally in the seventh inning when
Gabe Huante and Sullivan hit consecutive one-out singles. However, Puget Sound got just one run out of it via a sac fly by
Cody Hirano.
