TACOMA, Washington – The top of Puget Sound's lineup totaled seven hits as the Logger baseball team beat George Fox, 5-3, in the final game of the three-game Northwest Conference series Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the day, the Loggers and Bruins concluded the second game of the series that had been suspended Saturday. George Fox won that game, 9-4.

The Bruins held a 3-0 lead after the top of the third inning, but
Jackson Bolitho belted a solo home run in the bottom of the frame to put the Loggers on the board.

Puget Sound rallied for three runs in the fifth inning to take a 4-3 lead. Bolitho and
Kyle Strash drew consecutive one-out walks.
Dylan Joyce followed with an RBI single, and then
Shane Himeda hit a single to center field to load the bases.

Jonas Kim stepped to the plate and doubled to right field, scoring Joyce and Strash.

The Loggers added an insurance run in the seventh inning when
Makana Murashige put down a bunt that scored Himeda from third base.

Davis Franklin earned his first-career win after allowing three earn runs in five innings.
Jackson Dinkel pitched two no-hit innings out of the bullpen, and Joyce earned a two-inning save.

Puget Sound 4, George Fox 9
The Loggers got off to a promising start when
Jacob Ota hit a two-run double in the first inning, but the Bruins scored seven runs in the final three innings for the 9-4 win.

The Loggers trailed by two runs entering the bottom of the seventh, but an RBI single by
Jonas Kim allowed
Shane Himeda to score and bring the Loggers to within a run.

However, George Fox put up four runs in the ninth inning.

The Loggers have a three-game series at Pacific Lutheran, March 19-20.
