TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound lacrosse team makes its 2022 home debut Wednesday, March 2, when the Loggers take on George Fox at 3 p.m. for a Northwest Conference game.

Strong start
The 2022 season began last Saturday (Feb. 26) when the Loggers beat Linfield, 17-11, in Oregon. It's the second time in five years that Puget Sound program began the season 1-0. The Loggers won their 2020 season-opener against Pacific, but the year was cut short to only three games.

Conference nods
The Northwest Conference named
Olivia Almy (defense) and
Emily LaRiviere (offense) the NWC Student-Athletes of the Week following the win over Linfield. LaRiviere scored seven goals on eight shots, and Almy turned away 10 shots on 21 tries. Both Loggers were All-NWC selections in 2021.

Milan Lam scored four goals in the Loggers' season-opening win, all of which came in the first half.

Under control
Beatrice Bridge grabbed a team-high three draw controls at Linfield. Last year she led the team in draw controls with 44 through 10 games.

Scouting George Fox (1-0, 0-0 NWC)
The Bruins began their season with a 19-6 win over Redlands (Feb. 19). Marena Tharpe and Andrea Garcia-Milla led the team in scoring with four goals, each. Garcia-Milla also added three assists. Ella Rand made our saves on nine shots through her three quarters in goal. Â
