SPOKANE, Washington – Genny Jilka's second-career goal stood as the game-winner when the Puget Sound women's soccer team beat Carroll (Mont.), 1-0, Sunday afternoon. Whitworth hosted the neutral-site contest.
 
In the 23^rd minute Jilka received a long up-field pass from Ava Cholakian. Jilka then buried her shot from the right side of the box. It was Cholakian's second assist of the weekend.
 
Chaylea Tome needed three saves to record her second shutout in as many games. Dating back to the spring of 2021, Tome has gone four consecutive games without allowing a goal.
 
The Loggers make their home debut Friday, Sept. 10, against Northwest. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
