Loggers drop two at home against George Fox

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

TACOMA, Washington – A shortened weekend at home for the Puget Sound softball team resulted in a couple of losses against George Fox Sunday afternoon, 13-2 and 17-1.

Maddie Colombo socked a two-run home run in the fourth inning of the first game. She joins Abby Brondos and Abbi Wong as Loggers with multiple home runs this season.

Colombo's home run was one of three consecutive hits in the forth inning. Jessica Shimoda led off the fourth with a single, and she scored on Colombo's homer. Wong then immediately followed with a single of her own.

Puget Sound loaded the bases with nobody out in the first inning of the second game. Hana DeGuzman, Shimoda, and Colomba each reached base with consecutive singles. Noelle Kerr took advantage of the opportunity and smacked an RBI single back up the middle, but that's the only run the Loggers would get.

Puget Sound is on the road for four games at Willamette, April 13-14.
